As the holiday season draws near, the Astros and Gizmo are busy with new holiday promotions for fans and making plans for the upcoming season. For the first time, the Astros will be bringing the holiday spirit with the help of Gizmo through gift pack deliveries and pictures on the field with Santa Gizmo. The 2015 schedule has also been released so as the new year rolls around, fans can mark their calendars with all of the games. Are you still searching for the perfect holiday card this year? Come to Pioneer Park on Saturday, December 6 to get a picture taken with Santa Gizmo down on the field! For just $25, the Astros staff will take your picture and either create a hard copy for you or email you with a copy. Call (423) 638-0411 to schedule a time between 11 and 1!

Season ticket memberships available

Season ticket memberships for 2015 are now available through the front office. Full-season, half-season, and 7-game firework and giveaway packages are all available. Season ticket members are guaranteed their chosen seat for all of the games in their package, early entrance into the park, and an invitation to the pre-season meet and greet with the staff and players.

Astros announce 2015 schedule

The Greeneville Astros' 2015 schedule has been released and fans can look forward to 34 exciting games of baseball at Pioneer Park. The Astros will begin at Bristol on Tuesday, June 23 but fans won't have to wait long to see the team at home as they will return to Pioneer Park on June 25 for a four game series. Fans will also be able to see the team at home on four Fridays and six Saturdays, including the Fourth of July. The season will close out on Tuesday, September 1 at home against the Princeton Rays.

Altuve finds success in Japan Series

Former Greeneville Astro Jose Altuve has spent the last week in Japan as part of the MLB team playing in the Japan All-Star Series. Altuve took a spot in the line-up after Robinson Cano injured his toe and has helped lead the team to two wins, going 6-14. Altuve is joined by fellow Astros Chris Carter, Dexter Fowler, Jose Veras and the team mascot Orbit.

Astros on winning Arizona Fall League team

The Arizona Fall League held its championship game on Saturday, November 15 and the Salt River Rafters came away with the win. Four former Greeneville players (Vincent Velasquez, Tyson Perez, Mitchell Lambson, and Rio Ruiz) and pitching coach Josh Miller joined four other Astros (Mark Appel, Tyler Heineman, Joe Sclafani, and Andrew Aplin) and minor league players from the Diamondbacks, Rockies, Marlins, and Twins to form the Salt River Rafters. The Rafters played the Peoria Javelinas to win the game 14-7.

Players staying busy

As the Arizona Fall League season wraps up, many past Astros are beginning play in winter leagues. Edwin Medina and Roberto Pena, and Juan Santos are currently playing in the Puerto Rican League, Chan Moon and Tyler Brunnemann are in the Australian Baseball League, Ruben Sosa, Jandel Gustave, and Richard Rodriguez are in the Dominican Winter League, and Gonzalo Sanudo is in the Mexican Pacific League.

Former Astros named top prospects

Baseball America has released its Top Prospects for the Astros 2015 season and six of the ten players have spent time playing in Greeneville. Carlos Correa, Mike Foltynewicz, Vincent Velasquez, Michael Feliz, Brett Phillips, and Rio Ruiz were all named to the list which was released on Monday, November 24.
